Miller Receives Aquaculture Award
Al Miller, UW Sea Grant’s assistant director for Advisory Services, has received the Aquaculture Education Award in recognition of his outstanding leadership in aquaculture education.
Fred Binkowski, UW Sea Grant aquaculture specialist, presented the award on behalf of the Wisconsin Aquaculture Association at the 2000 Wisconsin Aquaculture Conference at Oshkosh, Wis., on March 10.
“The recipient of the Aquaculture Education Award for the new millennium is best described as a tireless worker who is committed to the completion of any given task. Al's tenure on the Wisconsin Aquaculture Industry Advisory Council, and as chair of the Education Committee, are clear measures of his commitment and dedication to educational excellence within aquaculture,” Binkowski said.
He said aquaculture education plays a major role in developing, enhancing, and promoting aquaculture in Wisconsin.
