Help commercial and charter fishers develop web pages for their businesses
This project is carried out through workshops held at UW and other campuses along the Great Lakes shorelines.

Using Mass Media to Inform Anglers About Invasive Species
Through a partnership with Winkelman Productions, this projects uses television, radio and print media to inform anglers about invasive species. Babe Winkelman hosts a nationally aired angling and hunting program. Through this medium we are able to reach millions of households annually.

The project produced a 30-second public service announcement which aired weekly from January through March 2002. This 30-second "ad" tells and demonstrates to anglers the simple steps they should take to help prevent the spread of invasive species such as zebra mussels and Eurasian milfoil.

A second product was a 4 minute 30-second segment on invasive species. This segment aired in March and June 2002.  This longer feature provides a more in-depth review of the invasive species problem and what is being done to control the spread and counteract their effects. Both the 30-second and 4-minute features will air again in 2003.

Sea Grant Nonindigenous Species Website: SGNIS - Aquatic nuisance species information transfer using the world wide web

Invasive Species Attack Pack
This project provides teachers with a self-contained kit on aquatic nuisance species. The kits are in tended for use by high school students to teach elementary, middle and junior high students but are useful for naturalists, resource professionals as well as teachers.
