George C. Becker is Emeritus Professor of Biology and Curator of Fishes at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. A past president of the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology and vice-president of sciences for the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters, he has published widely on regional fauna and freshwater fishes.
