As part of the JASON Project curriculum, students compare and contrast their local environment with remote locations in the world where national JASON scientists and researchers are doing fieldwork.

To help Madison-area students (Wisconsin and Great Lakes students and anyone else interested in the Great Lakes and the oceans), Wisconsin Sea Grant has developed Web sites featuring Great Lakes frogs, fish, birds, underwater exploration and more.

We invite you to compare and contrast your own local environment with the Great Lakes environment and others using:

Underwater Exploration  |  Frogs  |  Fish  |  Wetlands

Features Include:

Interactive Quizzes that kids around the world have told us they find fun and challenging - try our quizzes and learn fun facts!

Cool Science - Discover cool science facts about frogs (listen and identify their calls!), migratory birds, fish, and more of the Great Lakes watershed.

Discover activities, scientist interviews and more - including how to make origami frogs that actually jump, science experiments, and interviews with an underwater archaelogist, field biologist, and more.
