To use the online PFAS Assessment Tool:
- Enter the sample date and location (kitchen, bathroom, etc.).
- Enter the sample results.
- If the results is reported as “not detected” or as a less than (<) value, enter 0.
- If one or more of the PFAS listed below were not analyzed, enter 0.
- Press the evaluate button
- All the boxes must have a value or “0” or the analysis will not run.
- Follow the recommended actions.
- If PFAS levels are low, you can continue to use your water as normal.
- If PFAS levels are high, you should use an alternative source of water for drinking, preparing foods that take up a lot of water (like rice, jello, and oatmeal), and watering fruit and vegetable gardens. You can use water from a public water system or private well that has low levels of PFAS, purified bottled water, or water from a certified treatment device.
- To obtain a summary of your results, press the Summary button and print or save a copy.
